1. Who We Are

Ibada - Salat App is developed and maintained by Dash Design LLC, a software company based in the United States.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store on our servers:

• Your name, email address, or any account credentials

• Your precise or approximate GPS location

• Your prayer log, tasbeeh counts, or usage history

• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or analytics events

• Crash reports sent to our servers

The app contains no third-party analytics SDK (e.g., Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude) and no advertising SDK. There is no backend server; all computation runs locally on your device.

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

Salat App stores the following data exclusively on your device using standard iOS and Android storage APIs. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use system backup features (iCloud Backup, Google Backup).

4. Location Access

Salat App requests access to your device's location solely to calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction for your current position. Location data is processed in real time on your device and is never sent to our servers or any third party.

• iOS: The app uses CLLocationManager and requests "When In Use" location authorization. Location is only accessed while the app is active or when refreshing prayer times in the background.

• Android: The app requests ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and/or ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION permission for the same purpose.

• You may deny or revoke location permission at any time in your device's Settings. If location is denied, you can still use the app by manually selecting a city.

5. Notifications

If you grant notification permission, the app schedules local notifications for prayer times, pre-prayer reminders, Jummah reminders, and custom alarms. These notifications are generated and stored entirely on your device using the operating system's notification APIs — no notification is sent through our servers or any push notification service.

6. Home Screen Widgets & Apple Watch

On iOS, prayer time data is shared between the main app, home screen widgets, and the Apple Watch companion app using the operating system's App Group shared storage (a sandboxed, on-device container). This data (coordinates, calculation settings, next prayer time) is never transmitted off the device.

7. In-App Purchases (Tip Jar)

The app offers an optional tip via the platform's native in-app purchase system (Apple App Store / Google Play). All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We receive confirmation that a purchase was completed but never receive your payment card details, billing address, or any financial information. Apple's and Google's own privacy policies govern those transactions.

8. Adhan Audio Downloads

Some adhan recordings are downloaded from publicly available sources (e.g., Aladhan.com and Archive.org) and stored in your device's app sandbox. These downloads are initiated by you when you select a recording. No personal data is included in those requests beyond a standard HTTP request originating from your device's IP address.

9. Third-Party Services

The app integrates no third-party SDKs other than the standard platform frameworks provided by Apple (iOS) and Google (Android). There are no embedded advertising networks, social login buttons, or analytics libraries.

10. Children's Privacy

Salat App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). The app does not collect personal data from any user, regardless of age. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at info@dashdesignllc.com and we will take appropriate action.

11. Data Security

Because all data is stored locally on your device and no personal data is transmitted to our servers, there is no centralised database that could be breached. Data stored in the app sandbox is protected by your device's built-in security mechanisms (encryption at rest, app sandboxing).

12. Your Rights

Since we do not collect or hold your personal data on our servers, there is no data held by us to access, correct, export, or delete. All data the app stores lives on your device and can be removed at any time by uninstalling the app, which permanently deletes all locally stored preferences and files.

Residents of certain jurisdictions (e.g., EEA/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA) may have additional rights. Because we do not process or store personal data, these rights are satisfied by the fact that no such data is held. If you have questions, please contact us.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
